GST, HST, PST, QST

On the slip. Not in April. We read the tax lines when you snap. Province on the books sets the default. The year-end pack already has the GST/HST column.

Rates we know

CRA rates as of 2025–26, including Nova Scotia HST at 14% from 1 April 2025. Confirm before you file. PST is not an input tax credit.

Do you file my GST/HST return?

No. We read the tax on each slip and keep it with the record. You or your accountant file. Filing aid — not tax advice.

Is PST recoverable?

PST is not an input tax credit. GST and HST on business inputs generally are, if you are registered. QST has its own rules at Revenu Québec.

What if the invoice is in USD?

We fetch a rate for the invoice date and store the amount in your books currency. Foreign VAT is flagged as not recoverable for a Canadian registrant.
